BOOK is the first publication dedicated to the work of i.s.m.architecten. Rather than presenting a comprehensive overview of the practice, the book focuses on two residential projects: BEEV and WETHI.

BEEV explores the transformation and extension of a modernist house by Belgian architect Paul Neefs, establishing a dialogue between the existing architectural language and a series of autonomous spatial interventions. WETHI, a newly built concrete house, challenges the conventions of its village context through an unconventional geometry and an integrated approach to architecture and interior architecture.

Despite their different starting points, both projects reflect a shared architectural position in which spatial organisation, materiality and interior architecture are developed as inseparable aspects of the design process.

Through contributions by Thierry Berlemont, Wim Goossens, Arnaud Hendrickx and Glenn Lyppens, the publication offers different perspectives on the architectural practice of i.s.m.architecten.

Designed by Atelier Sven Beirnaert, the 160-page book features an open binding, a dust jacket and a transparent outer cover.
