Commissioned by Arenbergschouwburg in Antwerp, the project reorganises the publicly accessible ground floor to accommodate a broader range of cultural activities.

The addition of a concert hall, an exhibition space combined with a lounge area, and an evening ticket office transforms the existing public hall into a place where different cultural programmes can coexist. The intervention also provides a platform for emerging local artists to present their work.

Outside festival periods, the new concert hall functions as the main foyer, allowing the space to accommodate different uses. A permanent bar acts as both a recognisable landmark and a central meeting point, reinforcing the public character of the interior.

Rather than assigning a single function to each space, the project introduces a flexible spatial organisation that supports both cultural production and informal encounters.
