RCIII - A house for J., V., R., J. and A. (and two dogs)

This design originates from the residents' wish to revitalise their 1970s residence in according to contemporary needs while prioritising an optimal connection with the surrounding garden and terrace.
In response, a comprehensive renovation of the first-floor bathroom took place, alongside a meticulous reconfiguration of the entrance, staircase, cloakroom, and office space. A separate structure creates a garden pavilion adjacent to the main living area.
This pavilion has an open and transparent design, combining a rudimentary structure with refined materials. Its positioning and proportions are coordinated with the house's existing side facade. The natural silvery anodised aluminium structure features a frameless, clear glazed roof, elegantly juxtaposed with a base of red-pigmented poly-concrete.
The conversation pit transforms the aluminium pergola into a cosy sitting area complete with a wooden stove and fire bowl. During the warmer seasons, the outdoor kitchen serves as a welcoming bar where family members and friends can gather.
