VVBB - A house for V. and B.

In this low-energy single-family home, exterior and interior are conceived as a single, coherent whole.

A compact rectangular volume forms the functional core of the house, accommodating the kitchen, sanitary spaces, storage and circulation. Around this core, an open living area unfolds, with carefully detailed openings in the outer façade establishing controlled relationships with the surrounding landscape.

Responding to orientation and privacy, the front façade remains relatively closed, while the house gradually opens towards the garden.

The clarity of the plan provided a strong framework for further refinement in detailing and materiality. In the façades, the main challenge lay in integrating windows, doors and technical elements seamlessly into the vertical wooden latticework. Inside, materials and colours are selected in close relation to the specific character and use of each space.
